Anyway, had it been a regular giveaway, it would have been no big deal, but I was the lucky winner of a Pattern Pyramid giveaway! I have an obligation to continue to spread the pattern love! Which means that you have an opportunity to win too! Hopefully you'll be a more responsible winner than I am.
But enough of that- wanna see the spoils?
The deal is, I choose one pattern from the collection and a tag to mark my future make and send the rest on to the lucky winner of my giveaway. You then host a giveaway on your blog and continue to spread the love. In case you haven't been following along, Karen at Did You Make That? started this whole thing off by splitting up a big lot of patterns that she was gifted into six groups and sending them off around the world. I won Seersucker Sally's giveaway and now you're up to speed.
Choosing which pattern to keep was pretty easy for me. I pretty quickly eliminated the two on top because I just don't think the blouse look is my thing. That left two:
Vogue 7693 is a pretty wrap dress pattern that I think is befitting of my style. However, it's so befitting my style that I have no fewer than four (maybe five) wrap dress patterns in my stash already. That left this amazing 1968 Simplicity number:
Are you seeing that? Culottes! My mind immediately went here:
That Scruffy Badger can work a pair of culottes. Let's hope that I can be half as successful in my own venture!
So there you have it. It took me a while, but I will absolutely be fulfilling my promise to pass on the pattern pyramid love. And to make up for my tardiness, I'll be including an extra pattern in the mix to give you even more choices. Sewaholic's new Alma Blouse anyone? Just enter by commenting below and I'll randomly select a winner next Thursday, September 20th.
So, here are the Rules:
- Anyone, anywhere can enter by leaving a comment on this post by midnight PST on Wednesday, September 19th, but you must have an active blog.
- I will randomly select one winner, and post them the collection of 4 patterns along with hand woven labels to be sewn into anything made from one of these patterns.
- The winner will pick one pattern to keep for themselves, then host their own giveaway. They will randomly select a winner, post the remaining patterns to that Person D. Person D will pick a pattern for themselves, host their own giveaway and post the remaining patterns to the winner, Person E. Person E will…
Alrighty! Commence giveaway winning! And I'll get to my sewing and blog reading. I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 400 unread blogs in my reader right now. Instead of catching up with things while I was on vacation, I seemed to have slipped to a point where it's been impossible to regain my momentum. Does that happen to you? It's not a good feeling!
